MapRoute TripTracker

With MapRoute's TripTracker you can share your trip(s) live with friends, family or anyone else. They can virtually drive, cycle or walk along with you, in real time and for free. Trip followers will see a Google Map marked with your location as well as a Streetview image of your current location.

How to set up

• Create a MapRoute account (it's free), if you haven't already done so.
• Install the MapRoute TripBuddy app on your phone (Android, iOS).
• Connect your MapRoute account: In the TripBuddy app, open the hamburger menu and click TripTracker. Enter your MapRoute User ID.
• Click the Start button to start the trip. You'll be asked whether or not you want to share this trip.
• Others can now follow your location live on this website. You decide who can follow your trip, by sharing this URL to only the people you select.
• When your trip is over, it can be replayed up until a month after the trip.
• Trips driven with TripTracker can be uploaded to MapRoute (from the Trip Log/GPX menu), they will become available in My Routes » TripTracker.
