Lands End to Bridgewater via Exmoor (1/7)

This is the first of seven routes that form a tour from Lands End to John O'Groats. Few, if any, British journeys are as iconic as Land's End to John O'Groats. From Cornwall to the far reaches of Scotland, the "End-to-End" or "LeJog" is the furthest you can go within the British Isles without changing direction. How far is it? In truth, there is no firm answer. The traditional distance by road is 874 miles but there are countless alternative routes to be taken. This tour of 7 individual routes is 1,382 miles and is available as a collection in the MyRoute-app RouteXpert Library. The collection will be called: LeJog - The Long Way Up. The collection will take you through some of the finest landscapes within Great Britain as you make your way north. I would advise an 08:00 departure from Lands End Hotel to give you plenty of time to see all of the sights along the way. Don't forget to sign the "End to Enders" book in the hotel reception. Another tip: Many who ride the "LeJog" are riding for a charity, if this is you, tell the car park attendant that you are on a charity ride and you'll get free admission. This first route travels through Cornwall, Devon and into Somerset, mainly following the coast to offer you spectacular views, some great roads to ride on and interesting things to see.
